How to install ScanElite (Android APK)
ScanElite is delivered as an Android APK (sideload install). It is not listed on the Google Play Store, so Android will show security prompts the first time — that is normal for any app installed outside Play.
- Buy & download. Complete checkout on this page to receive your license key. Then download the app APK with this link (tap to download on your phone): Download ScanElite.apk. You can also download on a computer and send the file to your phone.
- Open the APK. In your Files / Downloads app, tap ScanElite.apk.
- Allow installs from this source. If Android says your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps, tap Settings (or Allow from this source), turn on the toggle for Files / Chrome / your browser, then go back and tap the APK again.
- Skip the Play Protect / security warning. Google Play Protect often shows a warning like “Blocked by Play Protect,” “Unsafe app blocked,” or “ScanElite is an unknown / unrecognized app” because the APK is not from the Play Store. Do this:
- Tap More details (or Learn more), then tap Install anyway / Install without scanning.
- If you only see OK / Don’t install, look for More details first — that is where Install anyway appears.
- On some phones: open the Play Store → profile photo → Play Protect → Settings, turn off Scan apps with Play Protect temporarily, install ScanElite, then you can turn Play Protect back on.
- Finish install & open. Tap Install, then Open.
- Activate your license. Paste the RamerLabs license key from your purchase email / order details and tap Activate. Allow camera permission when prompted so scanning works.
Quick tip: The security warning means Android does not recognize the publisher in Play Store — it does not mean your purchase is invalid. ScanElite is a licensed RamerLabs app distributed directly. If install still fails, email support@ramerlabs.com with your order number and phone model.
